A Day at the Draper Temple
Matt went through the Draper temple this morning, June 16th. Merrill, Patty, JoAnne, Diane, and Randy accompanied him. It was a beautiful morning.
President Sorenson's Farewell
Matt, Patty, and Merrill were able to go to Matt's mission president's farewell Sunday in their ward in Sandy. President Darwin Sorenson and his wife Lee Ann spoke in their ward, and afterwards we got to meet them. President Sorenson is an executive at Holiday Oil. He seems like a real straight-shooter, not hesitating to tell Matt what he thought of his goatee.
President Sorenson gave Matt several directives:
1: Lose the goatee!
2: Go to the temple as often as possible.
3: Study Preach My Gospel
4: Read Elder Bednar's talk from the April Conference http://lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,23-1-1032-30,00.html
President Sorenson becomes the mission president on July 1st.
